Flying Music - LAX and Friedrich Gulda’s Übungsstück No. 9

On my way home from a recent concert tour to Los Angeles, I had Friedrich Gulda’s Übungsstück No. 9 going through my head. Watch the visual experience above of my take-off from Los Angeles International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world. I set this video footage to a previously recorded live radio broadcast on Bayerischer Rundfunk, Germany. The arrangement of Friedrich Gulda's Übungsstück No. 9 is written by James Wilding and I played it in a joint performance with German percussionist Thomas Hastreiter on marimba.
