THE NUTCRACKER - Getting into the holiday spirit

What a busy and fun Fall!

It has been so much fun to play in the ballet production of The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky at the DeYor Performing Arts Center in Youngstown, Ohio.

The Center is built around the famous 1931 Warner Theater, a movie palace of the golden age of motion pictures. Now it is used for concerts, or for ballet and theater productions.

I love the lobby of the space with it’s monumental stair case.

Playing the Nutcracker for a ballet and with a chamber ensemble was an intense and immersive experience for me, a novice in ballet music performance.

What a great way to get into the holiday spirit surrounded by fellow artists.
