PLANES, CARS, and an OCEAN LINER

Spring is in full swing, and so is concert life and tour travel.

Revisiting my former home state of California was brilliant, and I loved returning for concerts and masterclasses to Saddleback College and Idyllwild Arts.

The photo above is taken at William M. Lowman Concert Hall in Idyllwild.

Below some candid shots from the master class with the superbly talented Idyllwild Arts students.

Thank you @IdyllwildArts for letting me use the images!

Most of you probably know that I am a travel aficionado.

Even though I fly a lot, I still enjoy the views, I love talking to the crew, and I get excited for each take off and landing.

Here we are flying over the snow capped Rocky Mountains on my return flight to Denver from Palm Springs (btw. I love this little boutique airport).

Right after my flight to California I drove to Maryland to teach and perform at Washington College.

I love taking my car out for a road trip, and to see the country this way.

Washington College was quite a discovery.

What an amazing arts complex with wonderful pianos and acoustically exquisite performance spaces!

These are some memories from my master class, from the concert, and from my early morning walk.

My next engagement will be on an ocean liner.

I can’t wait to start my seven day Voyage on Queen Mary 2 from New York to Southampton, UK

On board I will present four solo recitals. Each show features different repertoire, and it’s been quite something to prepare and memorize all of this music.

Packing for this trip with four gowns is definitely going to be an interesting challenge.

Let me know what you would like to hear more about, and I’ll make sure to include pictures and videos about it in my next Au Courant.
